finished knitted and embroidered cushion and some more cards

Hello everyone,
This week I have been busy finishing my cushion and card making again. I have also joined a local knitting, crochet and sewing group, it is a newly formed group and at the first meeting only four of us turned up but now it has grown to ten. All the members are very friendly and quite a few of them have a good knowledge of knitting. We all share our knowledge and projects as well as having a cup of tea and some cake!
Now back to my cushion, it was made from the left over wool from my cardigan
The cushion is made by knitting four blocks, each made in stocking stitch with a moss stitch border. The back is done in all moss stitch. The flowers are embroidered with tapestry wool and if you look closely the surface is covered in small pearl beads.
Everyone loved the cushion at the knitting group and I now have two orders for them, one wants the flowers of the four seasons and the other in more Burgundy colours.

These are the cards I have made so far this week

I have made this one for an order and it has now gone to a good home!

I thought that I would get in early with this one!
Bye for now, susan x

  1. Lovely cushion! Pearl beads add beauty to the cushion. All the cards are pretty but my favorite is the third one.

    1. Thank you Anita, I am very fond of the Mother's day card too!

  2. Your cushion is very pretty with the embroidery and beads.

  3. the cushion is splendid, I am sure you will get lots of people wanting one as it is so unique, good to have found the group to join, now do not eat too many cakes. More beautiful cards too, your Mum will be delighted with hers

  4. I love being in the group Margaret but I am not sure that I can turn down a nice cake!

  5. Your knitted pillow is so lovely with the embroidered flowers on it! All of your cards are beautiful too. I especially like the Mother's Day basket card.
