The nursery cushion is now finished and all orders done. This cushion was interesting to make as it differed from my usual flower patterns. The animals made a nice change and I was pleased with the finished cushion, I think it will look nice in a nursery.
The Iris cushion is now finished, the lady who bought it for her daughter was delighted.
The flowers were embroidered with double knit wool, I have added pearl beads and gold thread which aren't showing up on the picture.
When I showed the lady the drawing of the design that I was going to put on her cushion she asked me if I could do some sort of drawing of it and put it in a frame to go along with the cushion. At first I had the idea to paint an Iris but then I had a brain wave and thought why not use the same design as the cushion, this is what I made for her, she was thrilled.
We have got a little charity project going at the knitting club, we are now knitting things for orphan babies in Bulgaria, this little hat was my contribution.
I have now mastered the art of the knitted sock, they weren't as hard as I thought they were going to be and they do actually fit my feet. I plan now to make some nice thick ones for winter.
I have got two more orders for cushions, this is a little look at the first one
There will be four blocks each with the same design, all the stems radiating out from the centre with a blue button in the middle. the second cushion is based on farm animals which is only in the planning stage at the moment.
I thought that you all would like to see my latest handbag card that I have made for my friend Pam, I have had this idea in my head for ages and I am very pleased with how it turned out.
