Next stage of Irish blanket

I have made the next stage of the Irish blanket, the group was very pleased with how it is going. We are now waiting for more wool. Some of the other ladies have been making moss stitch squares which will be added at the next meeting.

This is the central panel, the plan is to do two rows of green and cream moss stitch squares with the name Eira at the top and then a border of cable with the shamrocks in each corner which will match the central panel.

  1. This Claddagh design is such a stylish one and you have made it beautifully. The cables and shamrocks make this blanket instantly recognisable as Irish, event to those who do not know the Claddagh design.
