More wreaths and cards

Hello everyone, these are my latest creations!
I have made two more wreaths which are the last ones that I am going to do, I am tired of making them now and want to move on to other things.
The first wreath is one that I have made for my Mum for Christmas. Once again the picture is blurred due to the way I have to put them on to blogger.

The second wreath was made for charity.

These are two quick cards that I have done both using die cutting

It is our knitting club Christmas fair tomorrow, the weather today is terrible with strong winds and rain and for tomorrow it is even worse with a storm arriving so I am just hoping that all are hard work hasn't been for nothing.

Knitted rug project

The pieces are made from folded knitted strips, my idea is to fit them together to make a rug. I think that it will be a long term project as I keep making other things as well. My idea is to have four flowers for the central pattern then build around it.

Knitted Santa

HO! HO! HO!

I have made two of these Santas, they are approximately 1.5ft tall and stand up on their own with card in their feet.
The picture is very poor as I had trouble loading the pictures again. I have managed to get this on by copy and paste but the picture quality isn't as good.

Knitted and crochet Christmas wreaths

These are the other wreaths that I have made for the knitting club Christmas fair. They are made from a mixture of knitted and crochet flowers.

This one was made with leftover Christmas baubles

These are a few crochet baubles

Catching up - Cross stitch cards

Hello everyone, at last I can put pictures on my blog. I have had no idea what the problem was or how to fix it but I thought that I would give it a try today and it worked straight away.
I am going to put on all of the things that I have made since I last blogged, just in case it goes down again.
These are my cross stitch cards.

Chrisatmas wreaths

Hello everyone,
I am still having trouble posting pictures but I have managed to use another computer which I am not supposed to be on . I have been able to put on few of my photos, I did have another one but it has just disappeared. I have been knitting, crocheting and tatting things for the knitting club Christmas fair. I have made six wreaths so far all different designs and colours.

This wreath is a mixture of knitted and crochet flowers done in 4ply cotton. The rings were made by covering pipe covers, they were a good invention and work well.

These two are small decorations done by crocheting around bangles

These are my tatted Christmas ball covers

This is only a small selection of what I have been creating in the past few months, I will have to try and see if I can sneak some more pictures on. I have tried all the library computers and blogger doesn't work on them either. I think it has something to do with using internet explorer!

Problems with blogger again

I have lots of things waiting to be put onto my blog but once again blogger isn't working properly. This time I can upload pictures but they will not transfer onto my new blog page. When I had problems a few months ago I found that it was a problem with blogger and the situation corrected itself after a few weeks. The computer has now been updated and that is when the problem started, everything else works fine so if anyone can help I would appreciate it as I am so frustrated.

Scandinavian socks and knitted/crochet Christmas ornaments

I have been trying a fair Isle Scandinavian style sock pattern, I had trouble following the pattern on the decreases after turning the heel, I had to undo four times and still couldn't get the pattern to work so in the end gave up and restarted the pattern after the decrease. I am quite happy with the way the socks have turned out.

I have been doing more knitting for the Christmas fair, I have made three more knitted hearts with crochet decorations, also I am working on crochet bell idea.

Tatted heart ornament and more socks

We are starting a new project at the knitting club, we are working towards having a Christmas fayre so we are starting early by getting ideas and making things. I had a tatted doily in the cupboard that I have no use for and was wondering if I could make something with it, and here is what I created, I think this would be nice in Christmas colours.

I have also made a pair of thick winter Santa socks and a pair with with the same wool as before but with different coloured toe and heel

A pair of knitted socks

The knitted socks are now finished and they are now a matching pair. I decided to start the second sock again having got half way through it and I am glad that I did as I am very  pleased with them.

Do you remember the knitted Celtic blanket that we made at the knitting club, well it has been raffled off this week raising £428 which is brilliant. The lucky winners were an old couple who cried when they knew they had won!

Here is another card that I have made this week, it is for a retirement,

knitted sock

Hello everyone,
Well this is the start of my socks, they are made with sirdar crofter fair Isle effect Dk which I was kindly given by a friend at the knitting club. This is a brilliant yarn, as you can see the pattern is done for you. The only mistake that I have made is that the second sock starts off with a different colour, I should have noted where in the yarn I started to knit the first sock. I will remember this for next time but for the moment I have decided to leave it and carry on as there will be only me wearing them!

This is a card that I made for my friend Margaret's granddaughters Graduation.
I have used spellbinders elegant label dies 5x7in

I have started a pair of knitted socks so I will post my progress later!

Winter knitting

I have been doing a little bit of knitting to keep out the cold, nice practical gloves and a hat with matching scarf. The weather is very cold and windy so they are much needed

This is another little card made with the studley die. The background is embossed which doesn't show very clearly.

Embossed and die cut cards

Is anyone getting problems adding pictures onto their blog? I have had to use a friends computer, every time I try to upload I get a resumables message and it will not allow you to go any further and put pictures on. Apparently lots of people are having the same problems, it is something to do with Google wanting everyone to upgrade to google chrome.

Anyway back to card making! These are cards made using my Grand Calibur machine.

The first one I have used the Tattered Lace Studley die in the middle and used Tattered Lace spring flowers corners for the embossed background

This one I embossed the Studley die, four times and cut it in to pieces, joining them altogether to make a circle.

knitted and embroidered doorstop

This is my finished doorstop, the pattern can be found on the age UK website.
As you can see I have decorated the house with embroidered flowers. The doorstop is weighted down with a bag of rice covered in wadding.

Wedding card

Happy New year to you all, I have started the year by making a wedding card, it is for my friends granddaughter.

I wanted to try and make something special, the brief was to include some crochet or tatting so I decided on crochet and ribbon roses with pearls. The feathers make a nice soft background.

At the moment I have just started to make a knitted door stop and I am also looking forward to making some cards using my Grand calibur die cut and embossing machine, they were out of stock at Christmas so I had to wait, it should be arriving sometime this week.
I hope that you all had a great holiday!
